Don’t Read This No Way: Site Analytics For Bloggers
Blogging transforms dynamically day after day. Since time immemorial, a blog is simply defined as an online diary that is frequently updated. But now, looking through the sites of millions of bloggers out there, you would not even think that it’s just a personal portal because at some point it is used to earn money online.
Whether we like it or not, this is the current trend brought about by fast-faced technology. That’s why today, a blog becomes an advertising target of various businesses online. The birth of affiliate marketing, sponsored reviews, direct site advertising and the likes truly boost many bloggers to convert their so called personal site to one gaining revenue online.
And if this is the case, there’s no problem with that. Actually, it’s a very good decision to make your very valuable blog give not only a leeway of your personal ideas but also some bucks that you could use on your decent living or at a very least for the maintenance of your site.
In this connection, site analytical tools have eventually risen up to help both bloggers and advertisers to analyze how effective a blog is for advertising. This concept (analytical tool vs. advertising) is a little bit complex so we won’t go the details. However, to give some important features of an analytical tool, I decided to highlight one of my two analytical tools that I used on my blog, the sitemeter (the other one I used is the google analytics).
Sitemeter’s statistics page basically has 5 major Tabs (excluding the Home and Support + Services), the General, Recent Visitors, Visits, Visit and Page Views and Page Ranking .
Don’t worry, this is quick, just sit down and learn from the overview.

hi again Mapiles,
yeah, its very true. blogging has turned into a whole new phase now, as it doesnt only serve as a personal diary (as it should mean by blogging) but, its also means of making online money (and others).
however, I am still on the traditional side of blogging- i have a blog for me and my family, and nothing to do with advertising. if there was anything that I advertise, then, it would be my father’s blog! LOL
P.S: sitemeter is totally great, I have used it quite recently too. another good tracker is extreme tracking.
@Farah, you got it right, it’s a very good tool.. NAyway thanks for visiting..
