Three days ago, I found out that my blog was nominated for Top 10 Emerging Influential blog for 2008. Honestly, I felt so gratified and honored to be at least recognized as a blog that influence others.
However, when Jovitt asked “Hi, so how do you measure influence? and impact? By the number of hits?”, I paused for a while and consequently asked myself, Joliber, How do you define an Influential Blog?
Being a blogger who constantly replies on my readers, I immediately answered “It’s a tough question .. I think you can visit the reference site and learn more about it..”. Hmmn, to be frank, I admit that it was not a good answer at all. And I really feel sorry for that. That’s why here I am writing about the pending question, “how do you measure influence and impact”?
For me (finally wakes up to response, lol), an influential blog:
1) wins the sympathy and belief of the readers
2) inspires fellow bloggers to blog posts and initiatives (new and old ones)
3) displays some kind of charm / appeal in the eyes of others
I think, that’s all I can share for now. This post is very short but I just hope I have clearly delivered my point.

yes, Joliber, a blog is influential if it has the magnet to pull visitors to it. Of course hits and backlinks. Yours is influential because you have great entries to help bloggers like me.
