I have been a SC fan since i was a little kid and what i saw last night was not a USC team, I live in Idaho and i guarantee Boise State could beat USC. I thought for a long time that the Pac 10 was getting screwed but after watching Florida, Texas and even Iowa they are by far better overall teams. I was very upset about the game but in my opinion they were flat and the defense acted like someone please make the tackle,no one stood up and lead the defense. USC defense was the shi?s no leadership. Offense put on a decent game but defense wins championships.

Boise is a sentimental favorite, but other than Oregon – they haven’t played anyone, and won’t play anyone the rest of the year. TCU would beat them and probably Cincinnati. Now did Cincinnati leapfrog TCU after TCU won 41 – 0. Yea, UNLV is not any good, but neither is Syracuse. I don’t understand.
Hopefully Boise, Cincinnati, and TCU draw some good teams. I think TCU would beat any of these three. Defense wins championships, and TCU’s is killer. Ask Virginia, or Clemson – or Utah this week when they take them down….probably won’t mean anything in the rankings, even though Utah is ranked 14. Iowa at number 4 – there’s a joke. Northern Arkansas?…they escape with a win there? Barely beat unranked teams like MSU…and they are number 4 – go figure.

It’ll all work out in the end I guess. Like when Utah beat Alabama last year in the bowl game, or Boise beating Oklahoma a few years ago. Nobody gave them a chance. The rankings don’t mean much…..probably cuz I love the underdogs.

  7. Aaron says:

Ok. So USC was #5 in the BCS. They lose to #10 Oregon, whose only loss is to Boise State (who was ranked higher than USC), and Oregon only moves up 3 spots? That doesn’t make any sense. It’s insane. I agree with Texas jumping Alabama; Alabama shouldn’t have won. If Tennessee had a field goalkicker that game woulda been over. IF both florida and alabama have one loss i don’t think either of them should play for the title, and I think the best game would be Oregon vs Texas, and I think that is how it’s going to play out.

How can a team get jumped on an off week? How is usc still in the top 15 with two losses and one lose to an unranked team?

  11. WhatAJoke says:

The Pac 10 will never get respect, even though they went 5-0 in Bowl Games last year. If the Ducks played Boise State now, it would be a different story. It was the first game of the season and the first game for Chip Kelly. That’s why it was a horrible game both ways. Texas is better than Florida, Tebow hasn’t been the same since the concussion. Iowa doesn’t even belong in the top ten with the way they’ve been playing, how many games have they almost lost to unranked teams???? The BCS is a JOKE, unless your school is on the East Coast or belongs to the SEC you get the shaft. I hope they throw Iowa at Oregon in the Rose Bowl. The Ducks will absolutely destroy them! How about the BCS actually give them a challenge, maybe a re-match against Boise State? Then maybe Boise State could actually earn their spot in the Top 10.

  13. TexasGuy says:

Every good / great team has a close scrape somewhere along the way. Don’t discount ‘Bama because they “almost” got beat–they are a great team, and the game between Alabama and Florida will be a dandy! Hopefully, Texas gets to play the winner of that one. (I’d rather have an undefeated team in the championship game with one close scrape, than a team with an actual loss or two.)

  15. bcs_nut says:

ok if texas and all of those teams are better than the pac 10 teams look at the big 12 against the pac 10 teams in bowl games last year the pac 10 kicked there ass in every game they played against each other and yeah its cool about boise state but if they had to play really good teams every week they couldnt handle it they only ever have one impressive win a year where tcu usually has an impressive none confrence schedule

  19. bracket says:

i say they keep the bowls but take the top team in all the big confrences and the best 2 mid major teams and have a tourny and just make the big bowl games the first game of it so like the rose bowl would still be the big 10 and pac 10 like it has been since the begining

  21. WhatAJoke says:

The reason USC is still in the Top 15 is because they are a good team. The Pac 10 is a Very unpredictable conference. And they also just lost to the Ducks, not some washed up no name. I think the BCS voters are impressed with the Ducks they just don’t want to give them the credit they deserve. I think Oregon vs Texas would be a great game. I wanna see how the Ducks would play against a true Championship contender.

  25. Angelo says:

Ok. Texas is one of the best teams this year. We would beat the Pac 10 like nothing. It is bull that USC is still in the top 15 even when they lost two times and one against an unranked team. But hey the BCS is rigged. At least they got the top 3 standings right.

  27. Angelo says:

Ok. Maybe they didn’t get the top 3 teams right. Texas should be number 1 while Florida is number 2 because if you look Texas scored way more points then Florida and Texas also has more points scored by the defense then Florida’s defense.

Oregon has gone 3 & 1 against ranked teams. What other top ten teams have fared as well? If none of them have as many wins against ranked teams, Oregon should be ranked higher than #8!
