Erap – Binay in 2010 Elections

Former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada declared today that he will be running for the top post once more in 2010 Elections. According to Estrada, despite of the accusations thrown on him, he believe that Filipino masses are still on his side. Also, Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay will be his Vice-Presidential running mate.

The Erap-Binay Tandem senatorial line-up includes Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Teddy Boy Locsin, Bongbong Marcos and Jose De Venecia III among others.

On Legal Issues:
Asked about the legal implications of his action in running in 2010, Erap said that they are ready and consulted retired justices. Here’s an interview of GMA-7 news anchor Arnold Clavio.

Estrada won the Philippine Presidential Election in 1998 but was ousted in office through People Power 2.
