Giants vs Saints Preview
The result of the National Fotball league (NFL) match tomorrow, October 18, 2009, between the New York Giants (NYG) and New Orleans Saints (NO) will surely separate themselves on the NFL Power Rankings 2009 Week 7.
Currently, these two teams are holding the top spots on power rankings with the Giants being the number 1 at 5-0 followed by the Saints with a record of 4-0.
However, three Giants were confirmed to be out on the Sunday Night Football which include linebacker Michael Boley (with knee injury), CB Aaron Ross (with hamstring) and DE Chris Canty (with calf). The good news though is that Eli Manning is expected to play against the Saints led by Jeremy Shockey.
“I am excited about it. First time playing in the Superdome, ever, for any level of football. I am excited about getting the opportunity to play where my father spent most of his career, going to back to New Orleans and playing New Orleans, who is playing very well this year.”, Manning said.
“Two undefeated teams. It should be a great atmosphere.”, he added.
For Shockey, this game is not about his feelings against the opposing team. “It’s not about me, all right? So no more questions. It’s about two teams going against each other. I want to make that clear. There’s already been some references about vendettas and stuff like that. It’s about two teams. It’s two great teams playing against each other.”
But for Giants players, they believe that Shockey will be trying to prove a point on Sunday. “I think Jeremy, just like any competitive guy, wants to get the ball and feels like any safety or linebacker is a great matchup and that he is going to get open,” Drew Brees uttered.
With this battle between two unbeaten teams heating up even before the game, expect a war inside the superdome when the match starts. Will it be the Giants or the Saints? Let’s all wait for the scores (result). May the best team be the winner..
