Update: The Phillies advanced to the World Series after ousting the Dodgers, 10-4 in the NLCS this Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are focused to win back to back title in the World Series which they last did in 1975-76.
Philadelphia Phillies will try to push themeselves to finish the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Game 4 of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) today, October 21 Wednesday at Philadelphia.
Phillies lead series, 3-1.
Dodgers in a must win situation
“All we have to do is win three in a row. “No matter how you spin it, when you’re that close, it hurts. You feel stunned. It’s not a good feeling and you’ve just got to move on. It’s always tough to swallow. Now we have the opportunity to make something magical happen,” said Randy Wolf, who was Dodgers Game 4 starter.
History says Dodgers come back possible!
Only two teams have recovered from a 3-1 deficit to win an NLCS — the 1996 Braves (against St. Louis) and the 2003 Marlins (against the Cubs). The most recent successful rebound in any LCS was the 2007 Red Sox (against the Indians).
Will the Phillies finish it off today or the LA Dodgers will survive another day? Wait for the game scores and winner (results) here so stay tuned.
