Philippines Routs Kuwait in Fiba Asia 2009

Team Powerade Pilipinas has officially sealed its quarterfinals berth after routing Kuwait today, 85-71 on the on going Fiba Asia 2009 at Tianjin, China.

Leading the way for the Filipinos are Cyrus Baguio with 14 points and Asi Taulava with 12 points and team-high 10 rebounds. Kerby Raymundo and Jared Dillinger also added in 10 points each for the team.

On the other hand, Rashed Alrabah and Mohammad Ashkanani both headed their team with a game-high 20 apiece.

With a secured third spot on the group, Philippines will either clash with Jordan or China in a game that will determine its entry for the semi-final round.
