After the much awaited UFC fight between BJ Penn and Kenny Florian, another war inside the octagon was set. On August 9, 2009, let us witness the battle between World Extreme Cagefighting bantamweight juggernauts Miguel Torres (37-1) defending his bantamweight title against top contender Brian Bowles (7-0) as the main event. The “Torres vs. Bowles” bout will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Torres is 37-1, 5-0 in the WEC, with 29 wins by stoppage. He is a jiu jitsu fighter with great muay thai while Bowles is 7-0, 4-0 in the WEC, with all seven wins by stoppage. He is a wrestler with good boxing. Also on the card are top bantamweights Takeya Mizugaki, Joeseph Benavidez, and Rani Yahya along with top featherweight Leonard Garcia.
