Update: Angels escaped a 7-6 victory in Game 5 against the Yankees to extend the series to atleast game 6.
The New York Yankees will try to finish the American League Championship Series while the Los Angeles Angels will fight for survival today, October 22, 2009 in the Game 5 of ALCS of MLB. You can watch this game live at Fox, 7:57 PM ET, the time where first pitch will be thrown.
After a sorry loss in Game 3, the Yankees came up big in the 4th game to stage a thwarting 10-1 score. If ever the Yankees (NYY) will make it in Game 5, they will face the Philadelphia Phillies for the World Series. This would be Yankees first World Series appearance since the 2003 Fall Classic, which they lost to the Florida Marlins in 6 games.
“You just want to keep going and keep playing well. We’ve been playing good all playoffs. We’ve been having good pitching, playing good defense. You know, we just need to close it out. It’s that time,” said CC Sabathia.
